This internship offers an opportunity to engage with cross-sector partners, apply population health knowledge in real-world settings, and contribute to addressing inequities while advancing measurable improvements in health equity. We work with students, trainees, and professionals who are eager to support HEC Group in working with a variety of organizations to deploy our expertise and capabilities.

Elizabeth (Lizzie) Moore

Senior Intern

Elizabeth Moore is a Senior Intern in the Health Equity Internship Program and a driven student pursuing a Master's in Public Health (MPH) from the University of New England (UNE). Her passion for health equity and population health originates from observing the disparities that marginalized groups face in the healthcare system every day, which prohibit them from receiving the quality care that they deserve. 

With many family members originating from and residing in rural southern Ohio, Elizabeth has observed firsthand how the healthcare system tends to leave behind individuals with barriers to receiving quality care. Her experience working in an inner-city maternal postpartum unit has emphasized the need for support for new mothers as well as reform within minority and reproductive healthcare, contributing to her passion for health equity and commitment to improving healthcare for minorities and marginalized populations. 

Elizabeth’s interests include population health, health equity, and policy and advocacy related to expanding healthcare to underserved and minority populations. Elizabeth is entering the field of public health with extensive clinical experience, providing an understanding of some of the most pressing matters to confront on the clinical side of healthcare, and is excited to help facilitate meaningful change in healthcare for those who need it most.
